i have a 1998 c class200 esprit the other day getting things from my boot there was a bang when closing firstly it look out off position now and can it be a spring if not what does anyone know what it can be and is it easy to sort any help would be great

hello. it will be a broken bracket on the hinge causing a spring to become detached. if you remove the side panels then you will see which one. you can just re-attach the spring to another hole and robert is your mother's brother.
