The difference between high and lo is about 2 liters. Measure it with your dipstick but take note that the car is telling you that there is too much.

13 mm spanner and get under the car with a drip tray. do it on a cold engine and drop some oil out. Undo the drain plug and let out about 2 liters into the tray. Get the plug back in and clean your hands, wipe up the spillage.

Ignition on, check the lights, start the engine and run it for a bit. Turn it off, go and get a brew or just potter about for a bit. Check your oil and top up if necessary.

How do I know? Happened to me last week!

Hi,
To be honest though I have no first hand experience of this, but there was a thread previously running on this, and the difference between normal oil level and it putting the high level warning up is very small, and i take it you drove it away from the dealer with the oil level high warning not on?
