is it me or has top gear finished this season i thought it was on today but when i brought up the info it looks like a repeat of the one where they bought a $1000 car in florida instead of renting one can anyone shed some light on this and tell when the next new show is on again

Agreed - tonight was a laugh from beginning to end. Brilliant. When is the next series due to start???

I agree, it was funny, but isn't it supposed to be a motoring programme? All I saw was motorbikes.

Top gear has not been a proper car program for ages. It is now an entertainment show and one which my missis and plenty more up and down the country watch. They would lose viewers if it went back to how it was years ago.

Oh I agree fully, the challenges are great fun, but I felt the Vietnam one was below par, the ones where they buy 1k bangers (like i drive) I find much better, and probably a lot cheaper to make!!
I also noticed today that the Beeb has cut the Topgear budget, what that will mean I do not know, I find the series are short already.

A bit bored of it now. It's all too set up for laughs.Ok some of it really happens(like clarkson falling off) but all the little bits are getting predictable now.I think i prefer 5th gear

Having lived in Thailand for a 4 month period you just dont get over seeing a whole family drive past on those scooters!! I saw one and it had Dad driving with a little kid stood up infront holding onto the handle bars ....a child sat behind him ...the mother behind them with another adult at the back!! It also had a side car fitted with an elderly women who had a baby on her knee!!! I swear im not making this up. At least every other moped had what seems the whole family on!

I thought the Vietnam special was excellent, we're thinking of taking the bikes over now for a proper ride. Even JC saw the point of bikes even if he was riding a scooter.

JC came up with a brainwave concerning the budget cuts on TG. They make the TG programmes as before - but when the come to the last one of the series, when they have a tenner left, it will be rubbish. BUT as the Producer said - out of 'rubbish' could come something good.

We'll just have to wait and see.

You see the same thing in all third world Asian countries, but I agree, it's an amazing sight. I'll never forget some of the scenes seen in India - incredible!
