Following on from Blobcat's post about the cost of running a Mercedes. I took a different approach, buying an 9 year old E280 Estate. The car looked smart in the company car park, was big enough to accomodate 3 kids, bikes etc, above all was nice to drive.

Now after nearly 2 1/2 years and 38,634 miles, I have changed the car for a 7 year old E320CDI - I hope that this provides the same positive experience as my old E280

I have shamelessly copied Blobcats format for costs:

Who says Mercedes are expensive to run and that they are unreliable? Not in my experience

That should teach me for copying someone else's thread. I filled the car up with Petrol, not diesel as stated
