I see in my manual that the anchor points for the tow bar are provided, so I can fit the bar easily myself (when I find one). But what about the electrics, is there a multiplug hiding somewhere or do I have to cut into the wiring for lights etc.?

Also I would like the removeable merc type, so if you have one that you never use I will but it. anywhere on the M4 corridor or Stafford to Dorset or Weston Super mud to surrey I can collect.

No replies, but a great email - thanks Robert-

It looks like Robert will sort out the Removeable Hitch for me, and I can where it mounts, any tips on how to drill the holes?

Also for Tow bar electrics my local stealership (SYNTER) insist on removing the entire rear wiring loom and replacing it, surley there is a safe way to splice in, I only want brakes/Lights and Indicators. Ive no intentions in towing in the fog or ever reversing!

If anyone wants the full rewiring job- I could be persuaded easily. £500.00 for a days work - are they grease monkeys or barristers, I work with a barrister who gets £29K salary!

its pretty easy if you want to do it yourself, some people use scotch locks, dont like them myself any competent auto electrician adbvertised in yellow pages etc will do it, or a spoecialist towbar fitter or your friendly independant merc repairer...... £500 LOL! none of them will charge you 50% of that
