Towbar fitted and now have multiple bulb failure!!

Had a towbar fitted by a local towbar centre (trust them as they have fitted 'em to all my previous cars without problem).

He had problems finding a feed for reversing light and i have to take the car back once he has found out what to do! No faults on leaving with car, then next morning on starting the car i have 6 malfunctions!!!

Rear right side light.... caution one and one to say back up bulb in use
Rear left brake light.... as above
Rear right brake light... as above!

Whats best? I doubt the bulbs have all failed? Whats he done wrong? Is this something i can trust this bloke to fix or am i safer going to Mercedes and arguing for some money back?

Towbar is a brink detachable and cost was £440.00, car is a 53 plate E270 CDI.

Thoughts anyone?

Take it back, as the relay he fitted has failed, (hoping that he fitted one!) and is drawing to much current from the light circuits. Probably a very quick fix.
