My local towbar fitter has fitted a towbar and 12S eletcrics to my 211 E 350 Estate 06. The wiring was a proper wiring loom that plugged in behind the rear fuse board.
The first time the wiring was tested the ESP warning came up with one headlight on, no indicators working and all the convenience functions failed along with the windows.
They have tried disconnecting the battery for over 4hrs, but to no avail.
I get a feeling this could get expensive so any advice would be appreciated
