Hi All,
Does anybody tow a caravan with a w124 saloon please?? Obviously the E280 has no Power issues but a "know it all" has said that I will need to fit Spring assistors as the suspension is, by design soft,...hence the smooth ride....Is this true??
Regards Neil

Yes, the cars are soft and, yes, that's why they ride well

If the nose weight of the caravan is correct it should be within spec for towing by a saloon. Just don't expect an old car to remain level with a boot full of kit and a caravan on the back. That's what estates are for - they have self-levelling

Thankyou Nick. I appreciate the set up of the caravan and towbar height is important but as long as the answer is not NO towing and should be ok then we can only try it. I can fit some new springs etc if the old ones are sagging. Thanks again Neil...
