All,
Just thought I'd mention this.
Tracker have 2 payment schemes - £340 ish one off or £120 per year rolling.
However, as I was told on here, they would also allow you to pay annually and provided you make the 3rd payment before it is due, they will convert it to fully paid up status.
I spoke to them last year and confirmed this ("yes sir - no problem")and have now just made my 2nd payment last week. My Dad's new E220 has a tracker so he called them up a few weeks ago and on my advice, came to the same agreement.
HOWEVER
========
He rang them back to finalise details and requeried this payment scheme and they suddenly denied that they do it. After a number of conversations, he's paid them the extra £200 odd so he's now fully paid up. I suspect, they shouldn't have been doing this and some manager has cottoned on and stopped it. I haven't rung them yet as I figure that having made 2 payments anyway, there is no benefit to having the argument now, but I do expect one when I try to pay the final £120.
As far as I am concerned, I have a contract, verbally agreed with their operator and therefore legally binding but I do expect an argument.
Be warned.
