Good after noon all,

I have a 1976 240D which i've owned for 7 years now. I pulled the original motor out( timing chain problem) and was going to rebuild it when I took a drive in a 300sd, the car was rotten but the drivetrain was mint. I bought that car and swapped the motor into the 240D. Some cutting and welding had to be done, relocated the battery into the trunk, and had to play with linkages, but all said and done, The car runs great. The only problem is that on the highway the motor is screaming at 70 mph with my 4 speed manual transmission.(Idon't know at what RPM as I dont have a guage... but its high)
I haven't been able to find what the gearing ratios in the 4 speed are but I'm wondering if anyone knows of a mercedes 5 speed around that would work for me. My hope is to find something with close enough ratios to the four speed only with a overdrive.
Thanks for your help
Joel
