Transmission Fluid location?

Calling on fellow w211 Mercedes owners – wondering whether you could tell me the location of the transmission fluid? Thank’s

Not necessarily.... on some it is also in the radiator :evil:

I like to keep mine in a large sealed container marked "Transmission fluid". I tried putting it in the transmission but it kept getting dirty.


Seriously - what aree you looking for? There is no dipstick on most models (just a sealed plastic cap on the tube) though you can buy one from the dealer.

Nobody has yet told him where the fill/check tube is, it is at the rear of the engine bay to the right hand side capped with a plug, you fill and dip the level through the same tube. Do not over fill it or expensive damage will be done.
