Does anyone know what the recommended Automatic Transmission oil & capacity is for the A-190 (Year 2000, petrol engine).

The motor factors books say refer to the users manual, & the users manual says get the job done by M.B. I know a special dipstick is needed and that can probably only be bought from M.B.
My manual say the capacity is 5.5 litres, while the motor factors says 6.4 litres, still found out nothing regarding recommended oil though.

I've another post with this question but thought I'd make it a little more visible.

Just like to say what a lot of help the people using this forum are, thanks very much.

Your Mercedes
S class
You can buy various oils for your gearbox, but for a few quid more you can have the original recommended oil from the Mb dealer, I wouldnt buy anywhere else. and they will tell you how much oil you need.
