Transmission Problem anyone !!!!!!

I own a S320 Limo on 1999 plate, It is the W140 chassis, The car has been very costly for me but now a now problem, when i drive the car from start when it changes from 1st to 2nd gear slightly jerks, also when i come to a stop it also jerks.... I have changed the gearbox oil, with mercedes expensive one, also the filter...

Has any one had this problem, or can any one fix it with out mentioning the word "new gearbox"..........

Hi. This is a very specialised area, and would personally suggest you have it pressure tested etc. at an Auto-Gearbox specialist (NOT a dealership!) for a diagnosis and subsequent advice. I don't know where you are and I can only recommend one in the Edinburgh area, but I'm sure someone else will join this thread with a suggestion (and who knows, maybe even a cure).

Tom, are you talking about the guy in Linlithgow. He is quite good and approachable. However he is not very good at the rest of the bits. Ideally, you just need to take the box to him and do the other bits yourself. 'Autotrans' I think he is called.

Anyways, we have no clue where 1999s320long is located. I wonder how many miles he has done?
