There were non in my W202 and R170 but one in W211.

Without one, it a breeze I dont need to worry about the mpg I getting,

but with the W211, I am very conscious the mpg I am getting everytimes I started the engine from cold counting the mpg from 22 to 40 mpg.

it awful waste of energy warming up the Kompressor starting from cold, is this efficient?

W202 (sold) current S320 (W220) now with ipod integration and video on the go!
Out of sight out of mind is definatly the best policy, especially with fuel prices the way they are.

Mind you the range left screen can be handy.
Had mine down to 2 miles and yet when I filled it she still had a gallon left in the tank.
Good to know that they err on the side of caution.

The range is calculated on your current driving and fuel usage - when cold it will be lower but as the car warms up and/or the journey style\type changes then so will the range (long motorway journey - longer range, urban journey - less range). Be grateful that the computer is clever enough to monitor and adjust it's estimate accordingly.

If it's anything like mine then it's a downright liar!

Average says 40+ mpg but in reality it's 30-35mpg Grr!

I average 36 mpg going to work, but 40 coming home. Work that out.

I rekon it going up hill going and down hill coming home.
