Trip computer on an ML retrofit?

Hello,


One thing I miss from my last car is a trip computer, I know its probably daft looking at it telling me I have just done 12 to the gallon but I like it..

Can I retrofit one to my ML (its an ML350 2003), where it looks like it is in the roof I just have a button that looks like a car being towed.

Is it easy to fit?

Thought it would have been somewhere in the speedo display?

All mine have been. Just try a few steering wheel buttons (L/H Side bottom ones)

The *car being towed* is to disable the alarm if it is being towed.

I think he means the trip computer which fits into the interior light section, mine does not have one but it looks as though it should be a straight forward job to fit, I bet that the wiring harness is already in for it as well, Malcolm will know...........oh Malcolm!

The trip computer (with digital compass) for the W163 ML is up by the rear view mirror. I had it on my ML. It is an easy retro fit as it just plugs in. The wiring for it may or may not be there. some cars seem to have it, some dont.

I only know about it as drove a friends years ago (ML500) and it was on MPG every time you look in the rear view mirror I saw between 12 and 13 mpg...

ooops, I was enjoying the drive though..
