Trip Computer Problems !!!

Can anyone please advise me on what i am required to do to get my Trip Computer back to correct MPG information,i left young daughter and a friend in the car while i picked up a Mcdonald's... the rest i think you can guess what happened,not sure what they pressed,but they have somehow messed the information on the computer up,i have the correct date,then 23:09 with a clock logo,then --- l/100 km,then 20.1 l/100 km,then 81 km,then just km
Has this been reset ? if so would anyone know the procedure to get the computer back to good old Miles Per Gallon.

The reset buttons one the E are on the side of the speedo binnacle. You do it with engine on but car stationary by scrolling up and down.
