Trunk button not working

Hello, I have a w210 1997 e320.
The trunk is not opened with a button, it is opened with a key. When I press the button, the air compressor does not turn on. What could be the fault? (Not only by pressing the button)

Hello and welcome,

On the W210 the boot release just unlatches it. It should rise if the boot springs are adjusted correctly.
