Tune up for 1990 230 TE

I want to give my 1990 230 TE a tune up at a mechanic shop that is not run by Mercedes. I asume this particular year and model needs special diagnostic equipment.

Can anyone tell me which diagnostic equipment is necessary to do this correctly?
