Turbo Housing Blown

Hi,
driving normally and a loud pop type bang !! thought the tyre had burst
called the RAC and they identified it was a turbo hose that needed to be replaced?
as the plastic where the hose goes into was brocken see attached file

I sent photos to mercedes they identified the part and it was indeed a "S" shape turbo Hose
my mobile mechanic picked it up and came to me to replace the hose !! However when he made access to the area he found that the Turbo housing was damaged where the retaining pin fits to hold the hose, and told me this was a garage job and he wouldn't do it as i need to find a new turbo housing if it comes separately from the turbo unit?

i am now stuck with out a unsable car and dont know where to begin or how to solve this issue or what it might cost to have this fixed i fear the repair will cost more than the car is worth its a 270 cdi c class estate 2004 with just 100,000 on the clock it has been meticulously maintained from day one ? please help any ideas?

You can get refurb turbo c/w housing etc for between £100 and £250 depending on exact year/model and part number.

Ok i called the MBS Southampton and they can replace the turbo housing bit for £182 including parts and labour i am now asking RAC to recover the vehicle to take it to the MBS Southampton garage they are so helpful and superb customer care thank you to Emily's dad

Thats a connector pipe for the turbo, available separately.

Ok update MBS Southampton fitted the parts yesterday i picked up the car paid the fees and drove home it drove ok
today i drive out and when i put my foot down for a little speed the car cut out and lost all power i pulled over and looked under the bonnet to check the turbo hose connection it all looked as it should i started the car again and was able to gently rev the engine and drove back home 2 miles gingerly. but upon revving the engine i can now hear a rattle coming from under the coverings sounds like very noisy tappits all of a sudden? any ideas ? suggestions please
Just found out from RAC that it is now more than likely the actual Turbo Charger it self?
i can drive it slowly so will take it back to MBS Southampton and get it sorted again?

Updated i just put my code reader in and it found PO251 Fuel Regulator Sensor about £35 i replaced one of these before from German and Swedish because the power kept cutting out ? I will try this before capitulating to a new turbo unit
