ok does anybody have any ideas where to find a turbo kit for the m103 engine in my 300ce. i have looked around on the net and traced the old turbo technics kit to a place called hughes in beaconsfeild. apparently they sold the last one a few years ago for £1000. the only other place i have found that would make a system is asking for £8000 to replicate the tubo technics kit. any ideas would be great as i dont think spending 8x the money i paid for the car on a kit is a great move :D

Hi there.Hughes in beaconsfeild are the only people that had this kits back on the day and many cars was fitted with from new. They`re getting harder and harder to find so you just have to keep looking.Mosselmann also had twin turbo kits but they`re even rarer so good luck with your search

yeah i have spoken to mosselman but they aint too helpful lol. if i could find the spec on the tt kit i would just get parts of the same specs and fabricate what i need on top of that but neither turbo technics or mosselman can tell me anything about the kits apart from "we dont sell them anymore"

Speak to a turbo supplier and obtain a couple of suitable turbo's then have a manifold and intercooler fabricated, buy some pipework and a Megasquirt and go from there.

it's for the 103 engine, 2962cc single cam, it cost me £1,000. The instructions say its for the non-cat version of this engine.

it was designed for the rhd w124 but given there is more room in a w126 it ought to fit, send me a private message and I'll send pictures of the contents of the kit

Hi, I have decided to hold on to it for a while, my g-wagen needs a cylinder head rebuild soon and it could be a good time to do the conversion. If I change my mind I will give you 1st refusal

I am from Palestine, and around here it is IMPOSSIBLE to build a custom trubo kit for my ride, and this has been the dream of my life, to have my beloved 300SEL turbocharged.

I only wish you the best of luck with your ride, but if i can't have your KIT, can you please help me find one, or even build one.

the main problem i face is with the ECU, there is no way that i can map an ECU around here, and i can't export my car to anywhere because we are under occupation.

I hope that this kit will not be my last hope, and i would appreciate any help you can give me in finding another one. or helping me with the ECU.

I can manage to get the turbos and the pipes, and injectors and spark plugs, but not the ECU.

Thank you so much.

there is little or no change to the electrics using the turbo technics kit, it has a small unit which piggy backs the bosch system. This as you know is a mechanical fuel injection and predated the current electronic systems used in more modern mercedes engines. I will keep my eye out for another kit for you, they do appear on the UK's ebay for time to time as well. Have you thought how you would import the kit given the restrictions in place and the cost as its very heavy

As prwales said, this is a mechanical injection system with a 5th injector added to enable the higher fuelling rate needed for when the turbo is on boost.

If you can't get a genuine ECU or simple piggyback device, why not use a megasquirt kit, which would be better anyway.
