Hi my car hasn't got closing Side mirror features. Do you know if it's possible to manually fold them so that they don't get hit when the car is parked?

Is that a 2003 C200?

Do they not have electronic adjustment? - thought all these folded electrically too.
Are they non-folding or has the mechanism packed up? - if it has packed up then the motor does not like being forced.

Manual collapse/folding is a safety feature but...

On some of these years, folding the mirrors makes them very easy to nick. Folded to gain access to the innards. Best left with sticky-out ears.

The original folding mirror was so they could be close-packed for shipping, helps with sliding into the garage, not intended for street parking.

Thats a feature of most modern cars, they can all be moved manually.
I believe its a requirement by law.
Are you sure you do not have an electrical option? should be it front of the wing mirror adjusters

Hi it is c200 2003 cdi model. I checked the manual it shows me the the two buttons that folds the wing mirrors but my car hasn't got these buttons. Howerevr the mirrors themselves are electronically adjustable. The salesman said it's best left open.

I live on a tight road and abit concerned. Do you think I should force one of the wing mirrors and see what happens, what do u recommend?

The adjustable mirror has nothing to do with the frame, if you do have the mirror frame you could apply some pressure to see if they will move, as these things have codes, you could get the data card that will tell you what is on your car
