Hi all

Being new on here and new to all things Merc, I thought I would read up on superchargers. I have a few questions which I haven't found the answers to using the search so I was wondering if anyone can help me.

Car is a 2003 on a 53 plate C Class Coupe C200K SE.

What type of supercharger is it? Sliding vane, rotating lobe as in a Roots blower or a cetrifugal type?

I take it that it is belt driven from the crankshaft?

Thanks

Andrew

Andrew the superchargers are made by Eaton and are the Rootes type rotating lobe type it has it's own reservoir of oil for lubricating the gear drives for the two lobes the initial drive being belt.
