I just had a warning that one of the tyre (wheel) pressure monitors has failed and I understand that the batteries on these are not replaceable. I got a quote for replacing one from a reliable tyre specialist I've used and they've quoted £83 inc VAT to fit genuine Mercedes TPMS valve, seal and sensor. Seems reasonable to me and I can't do it myself. As my vehicle is 7 years old do you think it would be sensible to replace all four monitors?
Thanks

As above, 83 v 332 is a big difference.
Some parts just fail early while the others may well last forever.

I have a 2013 SL 350 According to the spec sheet it's got tyre pressure loss warner. Is this the same as your system or does mine just detect the rolling radius of the wheel if the tyre starts to loose pressure and the wheel speed sensor picks it up. the reason why I ask this is because a couple of months ago I changed a faulty OSF wheel speed sensor which was a genuine MB part and it was about £20.00

Mine detects pressure loss but in this instance the warning is that the specific tyre pressure monitor is 'missing' ie either the battery has failed or the monitor/ sensor. In either ecent i ghink it means replacement.

Thanks for both replies, sounds like a saving is in order.
