Then this must be the life span 60 months or less of tyres on a vehicle that is not garaged, short daily town driving and less than 20K ,really interesting Hope this info helps others.. Thank you for interest.
60 months is ridiculous for tyres to start cracking. The tyres on the rear of my SL are from 2009 and they still have no cracks appearing even though i do less than 2k miles a year. I recently changed the front tyres due to cracks appearing and the tyre fitter noted the age of the rear tyres but said they were fine.

i honestly think it is the road surface, could it be the smoother the surface the least noise, there is.
To an extent. Buy the rubber compounding plays a huge part.

Tyre noises are tested to a standard. So no different roads there pal.

Keep us posted. I can't find any reviews on these tyres either positive or negative or where they were manufactured even. I think you are brave taking them on, but time will tell :)

Roadhog tyres are marked by Inter-Sprint they are stated to be the result of a combination of years of experience and new innovative production techniques. They have been developed by Inter-Sprint in-house together with a manufacturer in China (anonymous), and is said to be a robust van tyre especially designed for heavy loads.

More information here https://www.roadhogbanden.nl/tyres/dh6/?lang=en

As Andy says I think you are very brave fitting them to your car.

The tyres were manufactured 26 week 2016,and would have less than 20000 km town driving mostly.
Contact the manufacturer. They should replace them. I had this happen to a set of tires a few years back and the manufacturer's rep took one glance an authorised the replacement on the spot.

We have used Chinese tyres before on some of our Engineers vans but they have not been terribly successful. One of the main issues has been delamination. but they were not Roadhog tyres though they were Maxell I think and I couldn't tell you where we got them from. Just seemed like a good idea at the time. We didn't take into consideration some of our engineers driving styles  That that coupled with French crap Renault Master vans was not a roaring success

I think that DMK/Happy might be well advised to tell his insurers about the new tyres.

Insurers have refused claims in the past where the vehicle had an undisclosed modification, some even now

The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) advise:-

If in doubt, tell your insurer

All insurance firms are different, BIBA says. “Some treat locking wheel nuts or a roof rack as a modification that must be referred, others don’t. If in doubt, always err on the side of caution and tell your insurer.”

Over 70 insurance firms signed up to an agreement in 2011 stating they would not increase premiums if winter tyres were fitted – as long as the tyres meet manufacturer approval. Some of these firms still want to be informed if you fit winter tyres.

I dont want to trash all things coming out of China, but for most it is not a great standard.
Say 15 years ago there was a great feeling to get "things" cheap and they were from China. Sadly you get what you pay for and it was mostly junk that ended in the bin soon.
I lived in the NL for 5 years and I was shocked that you go in a DIY store and the stuff was terribly expensive and it was all
Chinese tat that you get at a Saturday market in the UK for a 1/10 of the price.
I just stick to quality items now. No brainer.
Rant over!

On hearing that I would not have had them fitted. Tells you they are junk.
As useful as a fire extinguisher fluid made out of petrol.

Autoglym tyre dressing has been recommended before to us,has excellent reviews out there for vehicles that are parked outside all the time in all types of weather conditions, easy to use, simply spray on to wet on dry wall tyres for protection..

There are two products from Autoglym:-

Autoglym ITD500US Instant Tyre Dressing - and
Autoglym HPTG500EUR High Performance Tyre Gel

They seem to be cosmetic products and I'm not sure that Autoglym claim that either will protect tyres from UV damage, and haven't seen any reviews which state this.

It might be worth enquiring of any motoring organisation of which you are a member (RAC, AA etc) whether these products protect from UV or what they recommend.

I don't like the glossy/wet look of many of these tyre dressings. I usually use shoe polish which leaves a natural look to them. :)
