All tyres degrade with age due to UV exposure because of the number of carbon to carbon doubles bonds in the polymer backbone of the rubber.
Tyre dressing are just that - A make up. I am sure most of us gents have been with a lady we met the night before and when the makeup was removed we thought WTH.
point is the dressing wont restore anything. When the tyres are damaged by UV, then they need fo be changed, bit like the lady.

There are two products from Autoglym:-

Autoglym ITD500US Instant Tyre Dressing - and
Autoglym HPTG500EUR High Performance Tyre Gel

They seem to be cosmetic products and I'm not sure that Autoglym claim that either will protect tyres from UV damage, and haven't seen any reviews which state this.

It might be worth enquiring of any motoring organisation of which you are a member (RAC, AA etc) whether these products protect from UV or what they recommend.

I'm not convinced that this product will protect tyres from UV. It appears to be another cleaning/dressing product,

We do our best to look after our Mercs, finding the best genuine tyre and rubber conditioner is a challenge,When investigating Autoglym keeps coming up every time.

When I worked on the hairyplanes, we painted tyre sidewalls with naphthalene to prevent cracking. Usually replenished every month.

The above came out on top every time I researched which tyre silk to use, you can have wet look or matt finish..

Naphthalene would also leave a wet look… and cost pennies! Applied with a brush.

Made from hard rubber, that made them last. It also made them very slippery in the wet
