Tyre Mileage ?

Hi all,
Next Saturday with any luck I shall be the proud owner of a C270 Diesel..
Can any one give me a ball park idea of the mileage I could expect from the tyres?
The tyres are the standard 16" sort.
It has Continentals on at the moment..
Lastly what are the recommended pressures.

Hi and good luck with your motor, presume it's a saloon and what year, as you may get various advice from those with pre-facelift or post.
My estate (pre-facelift) has done around 25k on a set of Khumos from new, but wear depends on the driving style and the make of tyre you choose.
Tyre pressure info is on the inside of the fuel filler flap and in your handbook.

Good choice of car!

I regularly get 18-20k from my Michelin Pilots. Front and rear wear about the same. As mentioned tyre pressures are on the filler flap but experiment (within the range) to find what suits your driving style / comfort preference.

My wife managed 10k from the conti`s that came on the car from new( doesdrive a bit hard) Its a c200 komp, but the new ones have done 17k and still ok. So depends on the tyre and how heavy your right foot is. In the case of my wife she wears lead shoes.

The car I am getting is a 2003 saloon with 38000 miles and one owner..
I dont know if its me but the sight of the three pointed star on the front of the bonnet really turns me into "snoot mode" when I am driving ha ha.
