Cls 320 /2006/3
Hi everyone,
I just bought a cls 320 from 2006 and is equipped with R19 tyres.
Front 255/35 ZR19 96y Falcon tyres and rear 285/30 ZR19 98y and I'd like to know what tyre pressure I should put in for both situations full car or just myself, summer or winter.
I checked MB site and I tried google it and I couldn't find a proper answer.
Thank you all in advance

Tyre pressures are shown on the inside of the fuel filler flap.

36/38 light load. 38/42 full load

Thank you for your answer but this is the firs thing that I have done
Does the chart apply only to the factory fitted tyres (only r17 and r18)?? Or I can use the chart for the R19"
Thank you for your quick replay

It also applies to 19"

Generally speaking tyre pressure is a function of axle weight not tyre size. The lower the tyre profile the higher (within the recommended range) pressure might be beneficial in preventing damage from potholes etc. at the expense of ride comfort and wear.

That must make for a very hard ride

Never use the fully loaded settings for any car as they always make them uncomfortable.

On the other hand the v70 I used to have recommended 31 on the front for a normal load and that was so soft it felt like a damper had popped the way it moved about.

My V70r will only take 17" wheels and had 205 x 50 x 17", I have fitted 215 now and still have to use 33 to stop the tyres from bottoming out

Mine had 225/45R17 and always 34 all round was best, never thought about the tyre actually bottoming out, doesn't bare thinking about with all the potholes about today.

Do you find the wheels are slightly porous, I had two v70s and both lost air quicker than you'd expect?

My wheels were fine for 8 years, then they had to be sealed,,it is corrosion between the wheel and tyre that gives the problem.

I had them re furbished last year and all fine

I use 32 all round in mine (same sized wheels and tyres as yours). This is set cold, typical tyre temp 12-15 C.

That is just what I have used on my MB's for the last few years and never any problem

I have only spent £45 in the 13 years I have had mine, and always my own servicing other than a Cam belt change at 50 k
