My tyre pressure sensors could do with replacing, is this a straight forward job or will they need reprogramming ? Has anyone had any experience doing this job, is it best to re mortgage the house and get oem ? or will aftermarket ones do the job ?

I bought genuine Merc TPMS ones Pt No MA000 905 85 04 back in May 2017 140 quid for 4 for my W205 winter rims...Probably more now.

Try Autodoc in Berlin with your chassis number and go for Schraeder, which Merc uses.

whats the problem with them?
2 things, firstly I have pumped them up to the correct pressure a couple of times using different inflators but the dash shows different values each time, also the threads are none existent and I cant get any dust caps on.

Think I may need at least one new one, since last September I’ve had a slow puncture, been to local tyre fitters 3 times, each time they have put the wheel in a tub with 60lb pressure. No sign of a leak, they’ve removed the tyre and refitted it 3 time and the can’t find the leak!! I asked if it could be the tyre pressure monitor, they said it’s not that but they’ve cleaned it anyway.
any suggestions ?

You can get corrosion around the metal valve stem due to dissimilar metals, so it is a possibility

I had to cut/clean the threads on all mine to get my screw on tyre inflator to fit using one of these...

Is it then a possibility that it only leaks when being driven? I can leave my car on the drive for 2 weeks without any pressure loss!
