Tyre pressures critical on A class

When I took delivery of my A class we were dissapointed in the ride comfort, it did not absorb bumps and humps but hammered over them. I maintained the tyres at the pressures set by the main dealer, although that was 5psi under the handbook. I assumed putting them harder would make the ride even worse.
I finally decided to put them up to 2bar as the handbook, The ride is transformed and "her in the passenger seat" has stopped grumbling (at least about the ride)
The tyres are 185/65/15 Good Years. I think I will try a bit of fine tuning of the pressures to see if it can be improved still more.

An interesting post eric. My sl was wearing the center of the tyres, so I reduced the pressure a touch just to get the last bit out of them, they ride is not as good as with the higher pressure
