Not quite sure if you mean you got 32k out of 1 set or 2 sets.
If you got 32k out of 1 set, that's pretty good going, I would love to get that.

ME too. I used to see no more than 10-15k out of a set on my C class on town driving. Michelin, Pirelli, Dunlop, made no difference.
Then switched to motorway running. Done 10k so far in the E and they still look like new.

I put a set of Michelin on the old C230K (only because they were very cheap in Costco) after 10,000 they were like new.

The blurb said how they were 20% quieter - which I snorted at. As it goes, the lack of noise was noticeable.

I'd recommend them on the noise factor alone.

I think you will find that we all get around 15-16k per set, and this is with premium brands, our car's do weigh more than the average.

Hi turbospud

I broke with tradition a few months ago and switched to 'Toyo'. They are a fine tyre and have transformed the car's handling. They're good grippers and quieter than the standard fitment. I'll report back on their wear characteristics a year, or two, from now.

REGARDS Phil

I use Continental Eco-Contacts which have not been available for around 3 years now. I kept with them as they cost me £380 for a set and I have had 27,000 miles from a set. I find them quiet and with decent grip. A collegue had dunlops on his 'E' and the noise was really bad. Used Toyo's on a Sierra and were quite impressed. My Tyre dealer keeps pushing Viking's But I have never been impressed with the grip or mileage.
