It's taking the car away from standard spec so is classed as a modification. What LK said - why????

Yes I've always replaced with 275 part worns but no one has any. The places I've bought from before (and they are huge) all say the same can't get any anymore as the used to import themExpensive game this Mercedes ownership . Look for part worns on a 275 profile. Stick with stock.
Jeez ! I wouldn’t even be thinking about part worns. Why are they part worn, are they too old, damaged from an RTA, faulty, could be any number of things. Tyres and brakes are the two most important elements in a car and not something that should be skimped on.Price of tyres been offered

Some decent budget tyres there. The Arnold Clarke franchise puts road X tyres on all there stock. No need to spend £200 a corner as suggested by the op.Plenty of choice and the Kumho and Uniroyal are good money
Nothing wrong with part worns if you know how to check them. Date of manufacture on side of tyre etc. I always check them inside and out. Last ones were set of P Zeros manufactured in 2020 with 7 mm. You must have never bought a second hand car as those tyres are partwornJeez ! I wouldn’t even be thinking about part worns. I usually get mine off at 3mm not put them on at 3mm.
Even budgets have got to be better than half worns.
Yes of course I have bought used cars with part worn tyres but they were a part of the car and in daily use. What you are talking about are discarded tyres. Yea - I don’t get it. Drive a flash car but skimp to buy tyres of unknown provenance.Yes of course I have bought used cars with part worn tyres but they were a part of the car and in daily use. What you are talking about are discarded tyres. A big difference
I am putting new tyres all round on mine due to an advisory on the last MOTYea - I don’t get it. Drive a flash car but skimp to buy tyres of unknown provenance.
Last week I had the rears on my wife’s car changed. Loads of tread, even wear but they were the originals. 7-8 years old. My Indie mentioned it to me at the last service two weeks ago. When I left the tyre workshop ,it crossed my mind that the old ones might end up on another car.
Over the 1000s of miles we will do on a set of tyres it is simply not worth the pennies/mile saved to skimp on tyres.
I would have thought that the correct size would be 245’s. Mine are 245 x 19 factory fit. I do actually prefer the firmer ride of the 19’sMy only issue is why does a 250 “need” 275 wide 19” tyres?
Get some 17” wheels with 245 45 R17 tyres and enjoy the comfort and cheaper tyres. You might even get 225 55 R16 as some E250’s came on 16”’s
