For sure this question has been asked many times but I would like to ask it again due to the fact that technique is developing very quickly.

Anyone knows a good and reliable tyres for W211 E320 CDI ? Uptill now I am using MICHELIN Primacy HP 225/55 R16 95 W. These tyres are doing very good but very expensive as well. Any advice will be highly appreciated.

Try Uniroyal Rainsport , a lot of members on here recommend them . (Not sure on their European availability ? )
Have a look at the website Tyreleader as well for some good prices

Uniroyal Rainsport 3 tyres are excellent but do wear quite quickly (depending on your driving style). We use them on our 500SL and E240.
Goodyear Assymetric 3 are also liked by many here and will probably be next on our SL500 (as opposed to 500SL) as the Rainsports aren't available in the size used on the SL500.

Yes and in truth all premium tyres will be good for an average driver.

However for me I would chose the Dunlop Blue Response, Fast Response or Sport Maxx based on experience of them on three Mercedes sized and two hatchback cars. Not the Sport 01 though.

Having just seen where you are Robert, do consider Vredestein tyres, personally I think they’re are underrated tyres- I’ve used their winters on a couple of my cars and they were excellent. Might boost your economy a tiny bit too.....
