any thought on brands of tyres???

I have used Dunlops and Michelins most often over the years but a lot of owners (and on other owners forums) are recommending and using FALKEN FK452.

Anyone any opinions on them (good and bad)...or indeed any other tyres in comparison.

When I bought my car it had "WANLI" all round, great in the dry but a death trap near any sign of the wet.
I now run on Michelin Eagle F1's (though I did over conpensate on the profile!)

Hi, i'm currently running Continental Premium contacts all round.

Nothing but praise, good in the wet, nice & quiet.
IMHO, cheap tyres are false economy. If you're in the market for a good tyre that doesn't break the bank,
Check out the prices for GE NCT5's on the 'Camskill' site.

Its very hard to get this point across about the differences of budget and premium tyres in the rain or wet roads, the difference on braking in the wet can be as much as 7 meters between the best and the worst at 50 mph

I think that tyre selection really depends upon the car and your driving style. For example on my Subaru, the best ones were Bridgestone, On my MG the bridgestones were c&^p, and the best were continental. I do over 20K a year, so have plenty of opportunity to chop and change tyres.

Currently my ML is on goodyear, my CLK is on Avon, and my Jag is on Pirelli.
