Recently had cause to check my ULEZ status on the TFL website and was surprised to find one of my cars (C216) was subject to the charge, which confused me as it is compliant with Petrol Euro 4 emissions standard.
I filled out a form on the Mercedes UK website https://homologation.mercedes-benz.com/Request/Pre_Requisite and within a matter of days they wrote back confirming my Euro 4 emissions status and homologation details.
I then filled out an online form on the TFL website, https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/check-your-vehicle/ and attached the PDF from Mercedes and a scan of all 4 sides of my V5 (including the blank page, which they insisted on) and again within a matter of days they confirmed my vehicle was now exempt from ULEZ charge.
I usually complain about bureaucracy, but this all went smoothly and sorted out what could have been an expensive problem.
