It's in the "Audio/radio/command" section. (or something simlair.

That said, you remove the side carpet, and then remove an 8mm and 2 10mm's. It would take longer to look it up than to do.

If you have EPC open, find the part and then click on the WIS icon at the top towards the right. It should open the correct section

Thanks Alex
found it in 82.60-P.
They call it N93/1 Audio Tuner Control Unit.
( oddly no mention of amplifier ?? .... german I guess :) )
If I ever had to flush this amp with contact cleaner. How fussy are these fibre optic females?
Is it good enough just to blank them with lint free cloth ( glases cleaner type) and tape over, obviously not getting that part wet if at all possible?

Hopefully won’t need it.
Thanks

Don't put cloth near fibre optics. Just tape over the top of the aperture they sit in.
Ideally you should do both connections immediately they're disconnected.
(I work with fibre optic cables as part of my job).

Thanks LK,
I have some on my home stereo, but I kept all the plastic caps they came with ...
And they are in sealed little plastic bags. So I can “plug” them if ever I need to move i.e disconnect them.
Am I correct they should be kept ultra clean?

As the AMP works ATM, and I think its actually down to a second duff Battery.
I will leave it till the better weather, and then have a look at it.
No desire to play in the cold.

If it looks all dirty like these ones on eBay, do you think its good preventative measure to clean them with contact cleaner? Or follow the old adage dont touch what aint broke!

On my home amps I did blow the mother boards out gently with hospital grade clean compressed air. But then they were not subject to damp etc. In a non smoking (inside) house. And they all have loads of forced cooling. So they all run virtually stone cold.

They looked great after the clean up. No more fluff.
Just having seen these HK Amps on eBay, they really look very rusty, but all were older than my 8.5 years, and might? have had more miles (heating and cooling and condensing moisture) than my 42,000 miles? Circa ave. 4,900 miles p.a.

Its a bad amp, batteries don't cause crackling on random channels. You can flood the whole board with contact cleaner. Made no difference in my case.
