Unknown socket

Apologies if this is in wrong section as I am new to the site. Purchased my C220 AMG Sport CDI in May and slowly getting to grips with all of the tech but came across this socket in my centre console (next to USB ) and unsure what it is for. Any guidance / comments much appreciated.

It’s the older Mercedes media interface for an iPod, you can pick them up still and I think comandonline keep them in stock
