Unleaded or Super Unleaded?

Hi all,

I am looking for some advice as to what is the best fuel to use. I have a 1994 C200 Auto and have been using normal unleaded which is fine. Just wondered if I could use Super Unleaded i.e., do MB recommend it?

My TVR always ran better when fed Shell 98. The supermarket stuff made it cough and splutter a fair bit along with anything else that was 97RON

I think on a car like yours its more important to fill with fuel that contains cleaning additives, I don't think you'd see much benefit from 98RON fuel over standard 97RON.

BTW, aside from the octane differences in some brands, all fuel is pretty much the same, its just the additives they use that make the difference - hence supermarket fuel is cheaper.
