Unsure what this dash light is?

Hi Chaps,

Pretty new to W202s mine being a C180 1995.

I'm unsure as to what this dash light is seeing as I didnt get a handbook with the car and I'm hoping its nothing serious, or if it is I want to get is sorted tootsweet.

Any suggestions?

Just looked in my manual and it's the Coolant Level warning lamp, Manual says:

"If it lights up while the engine is running, the coolant level has dropped below the prescribed
minimum level or the coolant temperature is too high.
Check the coolant temperature gauge."

That is correct its coolant level.
On your car it could be a fault with either washer or coolant as they are linked. so check both levels first.

Well no doubt it was a cost saving idea on production that isnt very reliable. It seems most things like this are to do with a cheaper way of manufacture.

It certainly causes confusion when the fan module fills with water
