Usb not recognised

Hi I've just bought a 63 plate a200 sport and I've uploaded music onto a usb but its not accepting it. Do I need to pay mercades to update or upgrade the car to play music through it? Sorry i know you've probably heard it all before. Thanks in advance.

Is the USB formatted to FAT32?

Just a thought, as I don't think it'll work otherwise. There's no fee to pay.

I tried it in and it didn't work. Then I formatted to fat32 loaded music folders back on and tried again still not working. Can't remember exactly what it says. Not recognised our something like that. Thank you anyway

That's the second one I've tried. Could it be the size of it? It's 128gb? Maybe try a smaller one?

I use a 32gb flash drive formatted to FAT32 and it plays through stereo with no problem, it’s shocking how much music you can get on 32gb’s,
I’ve tried a 160gb portable hard drive but that has the problem as your 128gb usb stick.

As above, I believe that there is a maximum permitted size (64gig?)

Hopefully a 32GB should do what you require.

Thanks. I haven't found my 32gb card yet but I'll try it when I do and pray it works. Thank you again
