Using Bio fuel can harm your car

Saw an item on the BBC news this morning where some of the petrol in france contains 10% ethanol, and it has been associated with rusting of tanks and corrosion of pistons etc.. This apparently applies to vehicles before 2000, so worth using only the premium stuff if travelling abroad

Tescos 99 is 10 bioethanol too. The stuff stinks, literally!

Ethanol isn't corrosive.

So how is it corroding metal petrol tanks?
