alternator pulley...?...ask your parts dept if yours is a one way device. a price of about £70 should be a good indication
if so then try to turn the alt shaft in the direction of normal engine rotation with 10mm spline tool.
if shaft turns freely then all ok
if not then the one way clutch within the pulley is seized and as the engine speed slows , the inertia of the alt trys to keep spinning and all that energy is transmitted through the belt.
all of my cdi engines have needed a pulley at about 150 k
