I recently purchased an R reg v230 ambient with the intention expanding my commercial operation into executive private hire etc. Due to the fact that it reularly blows the top hose off resulting in the loss of all the coolant, it is still in the garage, I dare not take on jobs because I am unsure when it will do it again. We have pressure tested it the reading on the gauge did not indicate a build up of excess pressure, anyway surely the radiator cap would fail first would it not, the top hose is very firmly replaced but still manages to blow it off. I am going to replace the thermostat in the hope that this may cure the problem, but I fear that the cylinder head may well be the real culprit !!
