Posted on here this time last year that my V class suspension had packed up, finally bit the bullet and and had the stealership sort it, that was at 40398 miles, under a year later and now reading 45989 miles it has gone again !!!!!, I am sure if I take it back I will be told it is something else, not the parts "they" changed, any views, or is it time to change to vito springs???

It is normally 3 things that cause the problem.

1. Pump

2. Leaking bellows

3. Valve block

They are all common and all go wrong on a regular basis.

Feel i have been had over...again

Got the car back today, after leaving it with the dealership last Thursday, Friday they contacted me, told me it was the control unit this time and the price would be £877.00...........Okay do the work, told it would be ready later that day. I phoned them in the afternoon to confirm it was ready, was told that the new control unit was faulty and they needed to order a new one!, would be ready Monday lunch time.
Monday I phoned to check it was ready, no one available to talk to me, they would phone me back..........they didnt.
Tuesday I phoned, exactly the same as Monday.
Today they phoned me and told me it was ready for collection, I asked how much it would be and was told they were giving me 10% off the parts, 20% off labour, the bill was now £905.00, I thanked them for their kindness and pointed out with the discount it was now more then the original price. The assistant told me she would do a revised bill and call me back in 10 minutes.....never did. Went and picked it up at 1pm and parted with £774.49.
Examined my previous bill from 21/06/2006 and to my surprise they have changed a valve that was changed last year, quieried this with the service girl and she told me she would look into it and call me within the hour........ she didnt.
Spoke to the service manager at 4pm, told him the story, my disgust etc, awaiting a call back tomorrow from him, wont hold my breath!!!

After registering a complaint with MB customer care this afternoon the service manager phoned me, told me he would refund the price of the valve and the labour for fitting, went onto say that as a good will gesture we would split the rest of the bill three ways, between myself, MB and the dealership.
I informed him that I did not want a good will gesture, I wanted to be treated at alevel you would expect from a flagship dealership, told him I had registered a complaint, he replied by saying he was disgusted with the service level I had recieved and was embarrased to work for the company, he then told me he would give me a full refund. The situation now seems resolved...... The V class is now up for sale!!!!
