V280 belt or chain driven?

Forgive me for asking this and not bothering to look under the bonnet.

I have but could only see a load of stuff blocking my view.

Anyway the question is how is the engine driven by belt or chain.
The VW V6 2.8 ltr engine.

These engines have 2 cam chains, looks like one goes to the oil pump, then the other from there to the cams

PNOP, did you say VW as in VolksWagen, engine?

These are mostly belt driven, but if you mean MB, then the answer above is correct.

Arnie... he DOES mean VW ... the V280 engine is based on the V6 VW engine, it has a very close Vee,
:? confusenly it is know in MB land as a M104, which is the same code as the old straight 6 as used in E280 124's!
