Hi,

I am the "happy" owner of a mercedes V280 with the VW VR6 engine.

In the last two years the car had a randomly failure, you were driving the car and suddenly the dashlights came on one by on, first the air suspencion and the the others and finally after two or three kilometers the engine stopped. Inmidiatlly after this we are not able to start the engine, it looks like the battery is discharged, however, if you wait one or two hours you are able to start the car again.

Multiple times we went to the garage for this problem but never they were able to find something, there are no errors in the computer, we don't know it sir.....

Untill today, now the car won't start anymore.

We already did some troubleshooting and there is no fuel comming to the front, the K39 relay for the fuel pump under the driver chair is controlled by two wires, black/white (the one with 12V when you turn the key) and the other purple/white. When I check between these two wires I only have 6V instead of the 12V we need for the relay.

Does anybody know why I only have 6V instead of 12V?
Does anybody have a electrial diagram of this model?
Were is the purple/white wire going to?

Any suggestion is welcome.

Koen,
