TV is away for a couple of weeks or so - but I guess you will get a positive response from another centre of knowledge shortly, sorry but I am unable to help further.

It might help if you could supply more info or pictures. How much of a restoration is in progress?

A good start to see what similar cars are on the market for is to have a look at sites like www.autotrader.co.uk or even e-bay bearing in mind that the asking price is usually not what they sell for. :)

A good starting point but bear in mind these cars are now fairly uncommon and the price difference between a specimen example and one ready for breaking will be huge.

In addition, getting a higher price for a good example does mean targeting the market accurately. Might also be worth looking at the tables of values in the back of some of the Classic Car and Classic Restoration magazines (or websites).

I seem to recall seeing a laudelet for sale in Germany for half a million Euros or something ridiculous like that.

As Roadhog says, much more info is needed and then it is very difficult to say the value.

Whereabouts are you?

It is also worth doing some homework on classic auctions (H&H, Bonhams, Coys, Classic Car Auctions). They will have information going back years and it would be interesting to spot any cars like yours.

There is a danger that, if it has not caught the market's interest (like the R107 SLC) then even an excellent car might not fetch much. It would be important to know that before spending too much.

If it has caught the market sentiment, however, it could do really well.

After seeing that picture, forget autotrader and e-bay. I'd try and get a specialist valuation before committing to spending any money.

Have you got any pics of the actual car? Just being nosey, no idea about value. :D

I believe that these are just the sort of sources to rely on to give you a ball park valuation - so it looks like being between $27,500 in the USA and Euro 49,500 in the Netherlands. That is quite a difference (£16,800 to £42,000 in today's money), so you need to be sure of which market you will be appealing to.

Those asre asking prices - who knows what they will fetch? And specialists often hold cars for a very long time to get the price they want. Still, at sale, especially at auction, it only takes 2 enthusaists competing to give you a really good return.

Putting an older car back in specimen condition won't be cheap. Doing it for the love of it is the reasoning often given, but if you are doing it as a business project, at least you now know the territory you are in.

Good luck.
