Very High Mileage C180 - Potential problems

Hi.
I've been offered a 95 C180, with 170000 miles on the clocks. Its a good price, but i'm a bit concerned about the mileage. What are the engines like as a rule on these, and is the mileage anything to worry about? The car is in good condition, and runs absolutely fine, with the exception of a slightly noisy waterpump.
What things do I need to look for, or should I steer clear of it due to the mileage?

A good price you say - compared to what? How much are you prepared to spend on repairs and putting right potentially neglectful ownership?

Yes MBs are good for high mileage IF they are serviced regularly. So there is your answer service history is everything - there is nothing more expensive than a cheap Mercedes!
