Looking at my poor SL tucked up under its cover and the charger wire hanging out of the boot I'm wondering how often I should run it. By that I mean take it out for an hour occasionally. It's got to stay outside in all weathers but the cover is man enough to keep most of the weather off.
Any suggestions welcome, even in this cold snap.

Just keep the charger on, no requirement to start it.

I’ve left stuff parked up for 6 months at a time, either disconnect battery then give it a charge before install or, keep the charger on as needed. Always been fine with no sticking callipers etc.

I wouldn’t dare leave modern, fickle stuff out like that though, for that I use a paid storage space that will put the battery on charge and start it up if you ask.

I do storage for people. I have a warm cosy barn available for £50 a week. Perfect for SL's....
Thanks Steve but I'm in Bedford so hardly next door :(
Similar story with next Aprils meet I'm afraid.

I would take it out once a fortnight, biggest problem with leaving cars this time of year is mice finding a nice home. If you cant take it out, maybe pop the bonnet and give it a look over.

It's been standing for 6 days now. I hope to take it out tomorrow or the weekend at worst

This year i decided i would keep the SL on road 12 months a year and ensure it is driven once a week in the winter on non salt days. Rather than garaged 5 months. As not regularly driving causes more issues I've found on both cars.
