2014 639 Viano- 651, 5sp Auto. 2009 S211- 646, 5sp Auto.
I've asked on t'other forum as there seems to be more 639 interest over there. But in three days there is no response. So I'm hoping there might be some knowledge here.

Sometimes my side doors will forget they're electric and not respond to buttons or the door handle. Not always both and not always the same door. If I pull the under bonnet 30A fuses this resets them and they're good again, for a while.

Also the o/s side will be reluctant to shut and stay. It can close, whir and then reopen. If I press on the door rear lock side as it closes I can get it to stay closed. I then lock the doors to keep it from changing its mind. Having to get out of the van / car to make it close is flippin annoying and inconvenient.
If I slam another door shut the o/s side door can open.
This is erratic in that it can be happy for a while.

I've cleaned the pillar contact plates. I've swapped the plates from n/s to o/s. Problem not cured.

It seems like an unreliable micro switch in the door lock, perhaps.
I've also considered that the opening / closing cable may have stretched, but the door looks to close fully?? Is there adjustment of this cable?
Of course there is possibility of it being electronic. I'm aware of there being a controller for each door but wonder if there is a common control from the front SAM.

Any thoughts gratefully appreciated.

Signals and Activation Module
It processes signals from switches and acts on them. For example hitting the window open switch the SAM will operate the window motor etc.
