Hi I have Mercedes clk320 w209 124000. I have a problem with vibrating engine or gearbox I’m not sure but when I’m starting the car it vibrates I can feel it’s coming from middle of car. The second issue is when I set the cruise control it works fine but when I’m trying to reduce the speed moving the stick it’s going to fault and when I turn off the car and start again it’s again okay but as soon as I try to reduce the speed it’s going to fault again can anyone help please. Thank you

Welcome. The vibrating might be because the engine and / or gearbox mounts are past their best. I can’t help re the cruise but I’m sure someone will comment soon.

Cruise going out could be a different size tyre/wheel - low pressure in a tyre can be enough to give a sufficiently large speed imbalance (as picked up by the ABS sensors to knock the cruise off

Interesting.
Are there any other signs/symptoms, when driving the car, of this speed imbalance..?

Tyre could be warmer than others due to more sidewall deformation. Pulling to one side if it’s a front wheel.
Not necessarily vibration as it could be balanced
